Cruso Friendship Club

The Cruso Friendship Club was established in the mid 1980s as an extension of the County Homemakers Clubs.  When the Homemakers dissolved, the Friendship Club was born.  Members host community fundraising events to support the Club's mission to provide scholarships, needs-based assistance, and community awareness in the Cruso/Bethel area.  The Club advocates for the Cruso community and it's Community Center to preserve and promote community based programs and relations.

What We Do

The Friendship Club meets the 2nd Monday of every month at 6:30pm.  Through our fundraising efforts we:

  • Provide the Jarvis-Alexander Scholarship to 2 Pisgah High Seniors each spring

  • Provide Needs Assistance throughout the community

  • Each Tuesday morning, a group of Friendship Club Members meet to piece and quilt on projects for both fundraisers and for charity projects.

We host various Fundraiser Dinners each year, our annual Quilt Show (celebrating 35 years in 2024), and our Fall Craft Sale and BBQ in September.  We are famous not only for our quilt shows, but our BBQ as well.

We invite you to join us at one of our events this year!
